At Home in the Hocking Hills

Hocking Hills is located mostly in Hocking County, Ohio in the Allegheny Plateau. One of Ohio’s natural areas full of beautiful scenery, trails, waterfalls, prehistoric caves and spectacular cliff-top vistas, there is no end to the natural wonders that await tourists seeking a rich, adventurous experience. The region was first settled by Christian Eby and named from a shortened Hockhocking River by the Shawnee Indian tribe.
